yanking out the tooth
Roughan...determined that the toothfairy was going to come THAT night! It's only sideways for a second...
It's about TIME....
Time, something I never seem to find! I never realized how having a child in school triples the amount of Christmas activities you have to attend. The hardest past for me is remembering to send money on a particular day, and today it was remembering the treats for the party, as well as the gifts for the the teacher and the bus drivers....
Anyway I managed to remember everything (fingers crossed that I actually did)...
Yesterday was the Christmas bazaar at R's school. Parents donate gifts to the PTA and they set it up and the children can all go in and buy a gift for their mom and their Dad. The gifts range from $1 to $6....and they were also selling tickets on a basket.
So I sent him with an envelope containing $15...
When I picked him up from the sitters last night he was excited that he had gotten Cliff and I each a gift. When we got home I asked if he had any change.....he proudly pulled out the envelope, opened it up and pulled out a $10 bill, then proceeded to pull out a twoonie and a loonie. Then asked to get his tooth fairy money so he could put all the money he "saved" together.....
Needless to say we can't wait for Christmas morning to see what treasures our penny pinching little darling picked out for us!

Roughan's coloring skills have improved so much in the past little bit I had to share his latest "bad guy" piece....Great job for a just turned 5 year old!
Rhys still has a ways to go to get to this point...for starters we'd like to get her to stop eating the crayons!

I promise I'll post some new pics soon!
It's been a very busy week. Cliff was in Newfoundland for work and then Sugarloaf for play....So the kidlets and I headed out on the road. First to Sydney for some great quality time with Nanny Joan (Roughan spent his quality time with Christophers Xbox), then we headed to the "country" for a much anticipated visit with Nanny Glenny...and Nanny Colleen and Willie as well.
We got back home on Sunday in time for Roughans final skating class.
Yesterday was our first day of Ferberizing with Rhys (AKA "crying it out") She has to learn to sleep on her own :( I've never been a huge fan of Mr. Ferbers method but with my return to work coming so soon I don't have much choice. As much as it breaks my heartto let her cry!!!
My next post I promise I'll have some recent pics!!

Ode to My Maternity Leave
Exactly 4 weeks from right now I will be on my way to work after Maternity Leave.
Rhys is a big girl now, she is standing and likely will be walking by then.
Roughan has grown into a big boy who is ready to go to school. He has matured so much in the past year.
In the past year we moved 4 times, with a preschooler and a new baby. We are very lucky that we made it through that time for the most part unscathed and that we had family like Floyd and Janice who let a homeless family of 4 bunk in their home...and even sang to my baby!
So here is my ode to the past year, as sad as I am to have it gone by I am so happy to be in my wonderful home with my amazing family! We are very fortunate to have such a great life!
