Birthday Bash #1

On April 11th the entire Gaetz Clan and Nanny Glena came to celebrate Rhys' 1st birthday and at the same time we celebrated Roughan's birthday with the family. Rhys thoroughly enjoyed her easter cake covered with Chocolate eggs...Thank you so much to Stephanie for all the wonderful photos!!

I love these shots, they are perfect depictions of my children...the happy go lucky Rhys and the more serious Roughan! You can almost envision her telling him to cheer up!

Happy Birthday Rhys!

It was one short year ago that we were shocked to be blessed with a baby girl!

Rhys is now a Happy 1 year old and I promise to post some birthday pics soon but right now I'm very busy preparing to go back to work tomorrow..... :(

And She's Off!!!

Although she's very cautious about it... she's off and walking...yup my baby is walking...so sad!!

Beautiful Day!

Yesterday was warm and finally felt like spring. It afforded Rhys her first real chance to get outside, get down on the ground and play...of course she really just wanted to eat the rocks.

Roughan took advantage of our last thread of winter to sled one last time.

It's been a very busy week. Cliff was in Newfoundland for work and then Sugarloaf for play....So the kidlets and I headed out on the road. First to Sydney for some great quality time with Nanny Joan (Roughan spent his quality time with Christophers Xbox), then we headed to the "country" for a much anticipated visit with Nanny Glenny...and Nanny Colleen and Willie as well.

We got back home on Sunday in time for Roughans final skating class.

Yesterday was our first day of Ferberizing with Rhys (AKA "crying it out") She has to learn to sleep on her own :( I've never been a huge fan of Mr. Ferbers method but with my return to work coming so soon I don't have much choice. As much as it breaks my heartto let her cry!!!

Ode to My Maternity Leave

Exactly 4 weeks from right now I will be on my way to work after Maternity Leave.

Rhys is a big girl now, she is standing and likely will be walking by then.

Roughan has grown into a big boy who is ready to go to school. He has matured so much in the past year.

In the past year we moved 4 times, with a preschooler and a new baby. We are very lucky that we made it through that time for the most part unscathed and that we had family like Floyd and Janice who let a homeless family of 4 bunk in their home...and even sang to my baby!

So here is my ode to the past year, as sad as I am to have it gone by I am so happy to be in my wonderful home with my amazing family! We are very fortunate to have such a great life!
